Back in 2013 I recorded a run with Laura and this is a rebroadcast of that episode, it was originally episode 87. I thought I would publish something to fill in for my lack of recording new episodes while I work on a new one. I hope you enjoy the oldie. Ron

This episode starts out as a Kitchencast as I am making my late lunch, ham sandwich and chips. I got in a little over 42 miles on my bike trainer this week using Zwift. I really like the new interactive upgrade I got to my trainer. I will be running a virtual 5K today at either Mountain Park Park or Stone Mountain. It will depend on how busy Mountain Park is as I check it out.
In my car recording as I head out for my run and talking about how my legs are tired from the group ride yesterday on Zwift. Making excuses ahead of time in case I run slow. I also discuss my alleged MAF training on the bike. Will be glad when this COVID-19 thing is over and things get back to normal, very depressing.
Zwift and Virtual runs are keeping me busy for now.
I end up back in the den going over how my Virtual 5K went. The end

I start the podcast getting ready to go for a trail run in my new Nike Terra Kiger 5's. things go downhill from there. Also there is a segment that was recorded after my 41st running of the Peachtree Road Race, as me and Laura (my Daughter) discuss the race and various things. I hope you enjoy it.

- This is the 2nd podcast of the year, if I can get these things out at least once a month I will call it a win for now.
- I went on a buying spree, which has nothing to do with my running. Well not directly, 1st I got a new phone at the end of last year (which I have started to use for recording the podcast) I am using the Hindenburg field recorder app on my iPhone because it will load directly into my Hindenburg Journalist software on my Mac. My new Mac just arrived on the 22nd of February. That was actually my 3rd purchase. My second purchase was a new Apple Watch series 4.
- I didn’t think that the Apple Watch would be as practical for running as my Garmin, but I found an app called iSmoothRun. That app is great, I can make customized runs just as I could with my Garmin and the app will send all the information to any other running program that I use, such as STRAVA. The only drawback that the Apple Watch has that I have found so far is the battery. I can get one good day out of a charge, I don’t think I can get any more out of it. If I turned off certain functions such as heart rate it would probably last longer, but I didn’t buy it to not use the functions that it has. Why buy something and then turn everything off that uses battery, might as well have a plain old wrist watch.
- I just completed my schedule for the first part of the year. I have 3 races planned, they are all 3 trail races and short in distance.
- I have one planned for March 9th
- A 2nd planned for May 4th
- And the 3rd planned for June 15th
- The longest trail race is only 4.3 miles, so you can see when I say short I mean short.
- Peachtree is always on my list of races and this year will be my 40th Peachtree.
- Well this February we have had the coldest (in the 20s) and the warmest (in the high 70s) so far this winter.
- Recorded on an iPhone Xs using the Hindenburg Field Recorder app.
- Edited on Hindenburg Journalist software.

Running today, a windy cold day, on the Greenway Trail in Lilburn, GA with my Daughter Laura. We used a Galloway 15/30 warm up for 10 minutes, then switched to 15/15 for 15 minutes, then went back to a 15/30 for a 10 minute cool down. Hope you enjoy our rambling on about running, etc.

I am on the trail at Yellow River Park today. Easy day today, so just a x-training walk while I record.
I play a comment that I received from Martha in Indianapolis. (I would also like to apologize to Martha for calling her Marsha a couple of times while I was recording on the trail.)
You can send me a comment by going to losttrailrunner.com and clicking on the Speakpipe button and recording.
